We would like to inform you of potential supply chain disruptions following the landfall of Typhoon Saudel in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, China on August 28. The typhoon is bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds to parts of East China and is affecting sea freight operations across key port areas in the region.

According to the latest port announcements, all terminals at Ningbo-Zhoushan Port have suspended empty and laden container pick-up and drop-off operations effective August 27, until further notice. Shanghai Yangshan Port and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port suspended the same operations on August 27, with services gradually resuming from August 28.

As the situation develops, some disruption to sea freight operations may occur. Vessel schedules could be subject to delays or adjustments depending on weather conditions and terminal recovery progress. In addition, container depots and terminal facilities may experience increased operational pressure as cargo flows resume, which could result in temporary capacity constraints and longer processing times. Under such circumstances, some service providers may also review operational surcharges.
