We would like to inform you about the current situation at the Port of Hamburg, which continues to impact logistics operations and transportation planning.

Limited terminal capacities, restricted availability of time slots, and existing backlogs are placing additional pressure on the entire transport chain. This affects the efficiency of operations in the port area and makes reliable planning more difficult.

In addition, temporary restrictions are currently affecting certain terminal areas. HHLA (Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG) has informed customers that, due to short-notice construction work, access to specific storage areas at Container Terminal Burchardkai (CTB) is temporarily restricted.

The current operating conditions are also leading transport service providers to adjust their capacity allocation. At the same time, backlogs in container handling remain and can only be reduced gradually under the existing constraints.

Against this backdrop, we recommend continuing to allow sufficient lead times when planning your shipments. Delays within the transport chain cannot be entirely ruled out at present.
